Cultivating Beneficial Emotions

We Benefit so much when we develop the strength to control our emotions, especially in our modern-day busy and hectic lives.  To lessen the impact of stressful wear and tear, consider cultivating some of these helpful tips into your daily routine.

  • Release and Control your Anger
Harboring anger or ill feelings builds emotional toxicity, which ultimately affects your overall health. Shake and Walk it off. Also while some people may think that uncontrolled anger is a sign of strength, it is really a sign of weakness that people hide behind. Learn to control your anger before it controls you. Walk away from arguments and think things through instead of reacting merely on the basis of emotion. Personally I always try smiling even when I am angry.

  • Show Gratitude
Several studies have proved that only a grateful person can be happy. Even those who have gone through tremendous loss can attest to this. They point out that the key to their emotional survival has been to focus on-not what they lost, but what they have to be grateful for. Everyday make a list of the things that you are grateful for. These do not have to be major things. Reflect on even the smallest things, such as a beautiful sunrise, a pleasant conversation with loved ones or simply having another day of life. These positive things can do much to boost your emotional health.

  • Don't Worry About The Future
Whether you are the religious or non-religious person, or an atheist - at the very least, there have been some form of consensus that we never be worry about the next day. While some will leave it to fate, destiny, luck, chance, randomness, etc., each day has enough of its own trouble. Sometimes we just need to trust in uncertainty. Unnecessary worry about the future only brings us uneasiness or a feeling of anxiety, tension, stress, sadness and bitterness. The only reality is now. Do your best for today and live in the Now.
